Department of Quality Assurance


The M. Pharm. Course in Quality assurance was started in the year 2012 with the objective to provide Pharma-industry ready professionals for the analysis and quality control of pharmaceuticals with appropriate skill set, knowledge base and practical expertise. The department boasts of an inspired and enthusiastic faculty participating wholeheartedly in teaching learning process.

Infrastructure and list of equipments

Department has a research laboratory for Post graduate students with several automated instruments in a separate air-conditioned instrument room which are regularly used to perform structured laboratory experiments. The Instrument Room is well equipped with various sophisticated instruments like UV spectrophotometer, FT-IR spectrometer, High Performance Liquid Chromatography and amongst several other commonly used equipments. The department is involved in the diversified activities, including active involvement in industrial research projects.

Research activities

The department has been associated with academically and professionally active research personnel. The faculty has published many research articles in peer reviewed national and international journals. The research presentation has been made by faculty and students at state, national and international conferences where they won prizes at different levels. The Faculty members are working for their Ph.D research projects. M Pharmacy has total intake of 12 seats in Quality Assurance Techniques. The department has published research and review papers in Journal of Chromatographic science, Eurasian Journal of Analytical Chemistry.
