FROM THE DESK OF THE CHAIRMAN

It’s a matter of pride that SSR College of Pharmacy has come up with its Annual progress report 2018-19, highlighting major activities and achievement of the college in the year 2018-19. The SSR Memorial Trust was developed to cater the society with quality education and to improve the employability particularly in Dadra & Nagar Haveli.

The initiative of setting up education hub was taken in the year 2003 particularly keeping into view the requirement of the residents and industrial community. The dearth of higher education facilities in the tribal region of Dadra & Nagar Haveli was felt, which lead to establishment of SSR Memorial Trust. The dream of providing higher education in the tribal region was accomplished by active support and association of academicians, professionals, industrialist and technocrats. Today the dream has transformed into reality and a campus comprising of different institutes have been developed to provide quality education to the students of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and the surrounding region. The college campus established near the industrial hub provides a unique learning environment to students.

This year two students of the institute have secured position at the university level in Bachelor of Pharmacy. I congratulate Ms. Khadija Godal and Ms. Sonal Padey for securing 4th and 7th rank, and making such excellent contribution in the success pages of the college. The college has state of art facilities along with young, dedicated, pragmatic and experienced faculties who have always been the driving force towards the success of college

I am glad that at SSR College of Pharmacy, the college practices student centered learning keeping into view strength and ability on individual basis. The college presents the atmosphere of ‘home away from home’ to the students. Every year desiring students are placed through “Campus Drive” carried out under the training and placement cell. College believes in imparting basic knowledge along with inculcation of soft skills. Different events related to curriculum, co-curricular and extracurricular are conducted for the overall development and welfare of the students. At SSR College of Pharmacy, the students are molded and trained to develop the values of competence, excellence and accountability.

I am confident that SSR College of Pharmacy as a team will continue to demonstrate its abilities to strive for the best performance and excellence.
